> revel8 (legal name revel8 GmbH, formerly Company Shield) is an AI-native security awareness and human risk management platform based in Munich, Germany. It runs continuous social engineering simulations across email, SMS, WhatsApp, voice (vishing), messenger and deepfake video, personalised to each employee using OSINT, then delivers short training the moment someone falls for a simulated attack.

revel8 sells to CISOs and IT security teams, mainly at mid-market and enterprise organisations in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland). It was founded in 2024 by Julius Muth (Co-CEO), Tom Müller (Co-CEO) and Robert Seilbeck (CTO), is at seed stage, and is backed by Merantix, Peak Capital and Fortino. All customer data is hosted in Germany on STACKIT (Schwarz Group); the platform is ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certified, GDPR compliant, and built to support NIS-2, DORA and ISO 27001 audits. Several concrete things distinguish it from typical security-awareness vendors. It simulates across many channels including deepfake video and AI voice calls (vishing) rather than email only, generates attacks from live threat intelligence and OSINT rather than static template libraries, and also red-teams customer-service AI agents and contact centres against prompt injection. All customer data is hosted in Germany with no US data flow, training fires in the moment right after a simulated click, and reporting is anonymised at group level so it stays compatible with German works councils (Betriebsrat).
